Ikoyi Restaurant opened in July 2017 and in October 2018 was awarded its first Michelin star for 2019. Founded by Head Chef Jeremy Chan and Restaurant Director Iré Hassan-Odukale, the pair are overjoyed with this accomplishment.
Iré said: “Gaining a Michelin star so soon after opening is testament to the commitment and the hard work of the entire team at Ikoyi. We really couldn’t be prouder.”
The innovative menus at Ikoyi utilise rich spices found throughout the region of West Africa as the origin for their dishes. With seasonal changes, Chef Jeremy Chan balances his passion for flavour with a bold and dramatic menu.
Jeremy commented: “We’ve had some fantastic feedback from customers, critics and guides about the food at Ikoyi but, to be perfectly honest, I didn’t think we would receive this accolade so soon – we’ve only been open for 14 months.”
